Master Educator & Personal Tutor

With thirty-three years of classroom teaching experience, I am well known to have a unique ability to assess the academic strengths and weaknesses of upper elementary and middle school students. I firmly believe that through clear, direct instruction and guidance, all students can develop strong time management and organizational skills, and become more effective learners.

I provide individual, customized, one on one tutoring sessions. My first goal is to make clear to my students what skills and talents they already have. This empowers them to move forward, build confidence and self-esteem, and produces light bulb moments.

I nurture and guide students in developing agency; the power to think for themselves and act in ways that shape their experiences and life trajectories, and express their individual power.

Goal Setting

I create an individualized blueprint for goal-setting, organizing, prioritizing, and self-monitoring that strengthens executive functioning abilities and empowers students to succeed in the classroom.

Note-Taking & Reading Comprehension

I provide students with strategies to improve reading comprehension of non-fiction texts and instruction on synthesizing and organizing salient information using valuable note-taking techniques; an important life skill.
